Using Evidence to Guide Public Health Decisions
Good data, gathered and used well, helps limited public health resources reach the people who need them most.

Public health decisions are strongest when they are grounded in evidence: reliable data on where health needs are greatest, what is working and what is not.
Monitoring and evaluation is not simply about reporting numbers. It is about learning, in real time, whether a programme is reaching the people it was designed for and adjusting course when it is not.
SPHC uses evidence to guide its own programming and to support partners and communities in making informed, accountable decisions. This is a sample article used to preview how blog posts appear on the SPHC website.
